Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» of Queensland has been ranked in the global top 20 in five academic subject areas in this year’s , reflecting Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»’s research and teaching capabilities.
Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» was ranked among the world’s best in 50 of the 54 subjects assessed, the highest number for an Australian university.
Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» maintained its position as first in Australia and second in the world for sports-related courses, underscoring the University’s role in helping Queensland to prepare for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Within Australia, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» was also ranked number one across Agriculture and Forestry, and Environmental Sciences.
Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» was number two nationally for Chemical Engineering, Biological Sciences and Hospitality and Leisure Management.
Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» achieved 16 subjects ranked in the global top 50, including:

The QS ranking rated universities using a range of indicators and data including academic and employer reputation, citations to research papers, the H-Index of research and international collaboration.
The 2023 ranking spanned 15,700 different academic programmes from 1,594 global institutions.
